I saw only one bloomed out in north Jersey today.  We have lots of pink lady's slippers, but only on the dry rocky ridges.

I haven't seen any in bloom, but the other day they looked ready to pop locally.

Where I grew up in NH (Nashua), the forest floors are covered in Lady Slippers.  Really neat plant with a fascinating flower.

I usually find them growing in the more open areas in pine clearings
