We had to skip over about 250 yards of river on a project on the Musconetcong River due to an endangered dragonfly larva that lives there.  The property downstream of the Point Mountain Road bridge around the bend a bit.  And we had to walk the excavator back upstream and drive it on the road and through farm fields to avoid damaging any habitat in the river at that site.  The DEP can be tough
