Woodchuck decoy...

Waiting for the ginormous woodchuck I saw earlier to pop back out, his grandson popped out instead and I couldn't resist.  

While sitting there I got to thinking if a woodchuck decoy would work.  I know there's hogs just inside the woods line that I can't see, their's plenty of holes.  Wondering if a decoy would draw them out or get them back in the field after bumping them out.  Think I'm gonna have to give it try.

in pennsy they are called whistle pigs. try a whistle or some other new years eve noise maker. many years ago back in the 60's i would shoot them in the warwick, ny drive in theater on saturday morning as they would come out for the friday nite popcorn. another noise thing that i found out. while deer hunting in the woods along the warwick greenwood lake tpike,a road crew was cutting trees along the road and deer would come to see what the noise was all about. you can also put a portable radio in a clearing in the woods and deer will also come.

seems most calls are alarm calls the turkey one has 9 Calls .   Good Luck
