I have to be honest that I'm a little apprehensive given how new the site is, but on the same token I don't want to discourage you guys from organizing an event and having a great time!

 

Anthony, if you can run it, that would be great!

It's a tight timeline (if you are planning on having it in the next couple months) and there is a lot to consider if you are thinking full-fledged (venue, prizes, sponsors, etc).

Perhaps it would be good to keep it simple this year, given the newness and timeline...maybe a dinner get together for those interested?

But I'll leave it up to you guys

As mentioned earlier in the thread, I'm good for a bear/venison chili and I can make enough for 100 people. I can also supply the plastic bowls and spoons for the chili.

If anyone has game they want to donate, I would be more than happy to make hot & sweet Italian sausage for sausage and pepper. I just need meat, I'll take care of cutting in the fat and making the trays of sausage and peppers.
