1000 Lumen Flashlight

I shot a doe on Saturday.  It was dark by the time I started tracking.  She went 125 yards into the thick stuff with a not so great blood trail (after initially good).  I recently purchased this 1,000 Lumen Flashlight from Amazon:  https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00T2J6Q26/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I have to credit it with the recovery.  I don't think I would have found this doe (at least w/o coming back the next day) without it.  I've tried a few of those specialized blood tracking lights and I find they really don't work.  Picking up the blood is one thing, but also just being able to see the path she took through the brush...broken twigs, etc.

This thing works great and fits nicely in your pack.  It's $65.

Now, don't use this to get to and from your stand.  It's crazy bright.  But to keep in your pack for an evening track...its pretty good.

How long does a charge last

It has 2 configurations (it has an extender tube in the middle).  If use it in the small config, you get 1.5hrs on high (1,000 lumens) or 50 hrs on low (not sure of the lumens).  If you put the extender in and add 2 batteries,  you get 3.0hrs on high and 100 hrs on low.  It uses the CR123 batteries (either 2 or 4)
