Tapatalk Version 3.3.2

Recommended Posts

Why would I want to use tapatalk? I have been using this site on my Mac and iPhone. I do not have the tapatalk app installed.

I installed support for Tapatalk at user request. I'm not pushing it on users' date=' just giving them support if they'd like to use it or already have the app. I don't get anything from Tapatalk to have support for it on this forum, this was strictly to help improve user experience.

A few of their answers to your question...

What is Tapatalk?

A: Tapatalk is a mobile app built specifically for forum access. Different from mobile skin or mobile version that comes with the forum system, Tapatalk allows user to have a unified interface to access multiple forums at the same time. With million of Tapatalk users, your forum can be discovered by potential new members through Tapatalk Network and our ranking and recommendation system.

Q: What's the point of this app if my members can access my site with mobile skin at no cost?

A: Most users are content with the mobile skin or a standard web browser but some of them would appreciate a full-on native app forum experience on their phone. For example Tapatalk app allows user to upload photo directly from their phone to your forum as an image attachment. All these will drive more engagement to your forum at no cost to you.

BowhunterNJ thanks for the info I just didn't understand and I was in no way thinking you were pushing this app & in return getting a kickback from them. Thanks

Have it for my iPad & iPhone and I find it much easier to navigate compared to using the iPhone's browser, and even the iPad to an extent.

They have a guy on the tapatalk forum asking for beta testers for a windows phone version. I'm using it now. There are some bugs, but it works pretty good.

You can definitely upload photos, I do it all the time.  What's disabled is the storage of those photos on Tapatalk's servers.  This is to guarantee the images are stored on the site itself and not subject to any issues of retention with Tapatalk in the future.

I've been using it for a long time since I got my Iphone over a year ago now and I prefer it when posting to this forum from my phone.  You'll see me post one time from my laptop like now, and later when I'm in the woods or watching my kid's volleyball game you'll see me post from Tapatalk.

I'm not sure what was going on, but for a couple of weeks, I could not post to any forum using tapatalk. It said that I was logged in to both tapatalk and the forums but did not have permission to post. I could see everything in the forums but just couldn't post. I could "like" a post but could not comment. I updated my phone to the new IOS software last week and I am good now.

Magic!

I've got to get out of the dark ages and get this app.  I only post from my puter, but it would be fun to do "Live From the Hunt" posts with my phone.  It sucks being a dinosaur.

I still get the message that I have to upload thru tapatalk severs

Can I get emoticons?

Tapatalk has its on emoticons but only other tapatalk users see them. If you want to use the desktop emoticons you need to type the code but you won't see them on tapatalk on
