Think this buck was shot?

He's still running around and seems ok so it must just be a superficial injury.

 

Was she shooting down at a steep angle?  She might have just skinned the left side.

didn't get any more info - but that's what I was thinking... Just missed artery, windpipe - just a flesh wound.

Update - doesn't look like there was a pass through if it was indeed, hit by arrow...   He was behind my house again, closer to dawn this time... What a tank. That's a 2.5 year old 8pt next to him in that one pic, that I passed up several times this season. He dwarfs it.  I am wondering if the "shooter" shot him a little bit quartering "to", and BH stopped on scapula, and fell out.  Probably more likely since she thought it was "right behind shoulder" in very low-light condition.
