Hunting contest?

Anyone running one this year for the adults? Seems it might be a thing of the past

Mat plans on running it a little different this year so we have no confusion on who shot what or when. I will be doing all the shooting and contestants will supply stands and the property. I will supply all the butchering and taxidermy expenses. Winner will get a photo of me with whatever I shoot. Valid for the lower 48 this year because I am busy with work. We will be adding Alaska next year to the mix.

We should definitely run one but I could use a little help in the teams and score management. I can setup and manage the scoreboards and topics, I can set up a donation link if you guys want to do an entry, etc.

 

Anyone up for getting involved?

I'm moving to Hawaii... it's bitter sweet. I'm leaving my 81 year old mentor who taught me everything about bow hunting but I know the other guys on the property will look out after him..

    The BIG island looks like it might be good for hunting.. Wild turkey everywhere.. Plenty of wild Boar.. Not sure about deer though... Didn't see any... GOOD LUCK!!!

wow.. I've been all over that island... cant remember seeing one of those signs.... I wonder how big they get  there..

My bad Axiom, the sign was taken on a Maui highway (Haleakala Highway) , not the BIG ISLAND .. the Bucks avg 150 pounds and are prolific on 3 islands.

What would have to be done? I don't have a ton of time and my site access is limited with work blocking it, but if I know what I am getting into before hand, I'm probably willing to volunteer.

I'm going to try to whip it up tomorrow. Ill create some topics similar to what Robin did for the youth contest. She does a great job with it so I'll try to follow the same process just different rules for the teams and scoring
