Bass fishing with my boy

for a graduation gift he wanted a bait casting rod and reel as his gift. you know like the pros on tv use, lol lol. so I got him a 6'6 st croix rod and I forget the reel but he liked it. after him practicing it and me getting out bird nests for a few days on sunday I took him to one of my childhood hot spots that I havent been to in probably 25 years. it was just as I rembered it and the fish started biting topwater good once the sun dropped a little.I couldnt believe my john boat was still there with one oar, the other was mia. she didnt leak a drop and fish hit the deck once again.
