Barnes Vortex Slugs.....It's Going To Be Awhile

I called Barnes yesterday, and they said they are hoping to have both 12ga & 20ga slugs in both 2-3/4" & 3" on store shelves before hunting season but the person I spoke to didn't sound optimistic, they said rifle ammo is there bread & butter

Half the states that have to use shotgun for deer now allow some rifle cartridges.  I'm sure that's putting a dent on slug sales which I'm sure isn't a major part of their ammo lines to begin with.  

More reason to buy/stock up on a slug if it shoots well in your slug gun.

That’s been my thought exactly. NJ and MA I believe are the only two states that don’t really allow at least a straight wall

I would probably buy another case when they become available. I got my brother and friend using 220s now.

I have 3 cases of Barnes slugs. Never shot a deer w them yet. If anything like the muzzle loader bullets, be my new go to.
