Had 6 out of 10 mis fire today at range with the HR!   10 for 10 no problem with the Hornady.   Anyone ever have issues with the remington 23/4 12 ga??

I haven't, I have a 20ga. But I did hear of this issue quite awhile ago.

That's what I thought,  I heard about this once before.  Granted the shells are 5 +/- yrs old.  

 

The horndy shot good. 1 1/2 inch high at 100yd .

My brother just sent me a photo of two accutips 20ga. that didnt go off. he has the savage 220.

Modern shells are good for decades or should be. I have many rounds far, far older and all shoot fine.

I had the same problem.  The hammer doesn't swing fast enough with the extra weight.  Take it off and all problems will be gone

I had 2 misfires with the Accushits. One from my Browning Deer Hunter Gold, one from my M2 Benelli. I also had a buddy that had a misfire as well. I was at the range last week and shot the original Remington Sluggers from the 70's through my deer slayer, (Remember the clear green shells you could almost see though). All shot fine. Enough said. Federal Premiums and Hornady's all shoot fine out of the 220... Wouldn't by anything from Remington now unless its for bird hunting.
