Opening day Quail

Went out with Matt, Vito, and Krys yesterday. Managed to flush one of them lazy PA pheasants, but it was winged. Almost got a full limit of Quail later in the day. Overall super fun, and great to get some steps and fresh air. Separately the Retay Massai is the real deal. I shot it lefty all day without taking a single shell to the face. Also no jams while shooting. Loading and unloading was tough, but only cuz I am dumb and didn't know what I was doing half the day.

One more quail today. 9 for a group of 3 hunters. Pheasant hunting without a dog still didn't produce. This years brood seems to like to be buried in the hedge rows. Good luck and bring a stick with ya.

At least it keeps them from being easy pickins' for hawks and owls
