Don’t all those fish move north thru NJ in the spring and back down in the fall?

Fish you’re catching here for the most part are Hudson stocks , tge Chesapeake stocks are in very bad shape .

‘that’s the reason for all the new regulations.

once fish head east of us the body of fish should be made up of 75% Chesapeake stock , 25% Hudson stock .

‘’with Chesapeake stocks bring so low it increases all the pressure on what’s available and that’s the Hudson stocks that luckily are doing well .

‘But the increased pressure they receive the 5 months they aren’t here could crush that fishery also .….

Surprised to hear, best Striper  fishing season(spring) I’ve ever had.

I'm no expert, but the excellent fishing for a time this spring could very well be a function of one of the large, successful, breeding years that's now just beyond slot sized (hence the changes in regs this year to protect them).
