reloading hornady eld-x 178gr bullet with imr4064 in 3006.

Hi,

 

I do not have imr40350 powder I needd to use imr4064 to load hornady eld-x 178gr bullet in 3006.

Does someone has good recepie?

Doesn’t list the 178 ELDX but I’d use the starting load for the 180 and work up from there.

In my older Hornady manual, version 7, it gives a load with IMR 4064 for 178 gr bullets.  It doesn't have the eld-X but it does have several others including the A-Max.

For IMR 4064 it shows:

Starting load of 4.1 gr, 2300 FPS, Max Load of 49.2 gr 2700 FPS.
