I've been watching his videos on this for over a year now. Go back and look at all the earlier versions of this thing - he shows his ideas that started this all the way up this "finished" product. The first few he made out of wood IIRC. This guy is a pretty good inventor.

A couple years ago didn't he crack his head open with a slingshot that ricocheted back at him?

I must have missed that one - he probably laughed it off with that "bah ha ha" laugh of his and that accent.

He gave an interesting speech on why he did not attempt to patent his invention. Some good points. Oh, and in the same video, here's his early wooden version of the bow magazine :)
