Anyone have any luck with Chukar this season?

I personally don’t like them, dangerous way too often but we’ve taken lots on club leases. I’d still rather not see any.  Than the darn cleaning for hardly nothing. We even save the heart, liver, gizzard but it’s not worth it imo. 
 

They are stocked for dog training before season..  last year I put one up in November

They are stupid birds... I can't see how any of them would have survived this long after the dog-training stocking pre-season:

Was at Colliers Mills last Tuesday, my britt found 2 chukar in front field dead, not shot or torn up by hawks, looked like they froze to death, but not cold enough

I agree they are not very smart birds. Very unlikely any survive long after stocking in October for dog training. I sometimes buy a few and release them in January and February to give my dog some action after the pheasant stocking has ended.  They are very hard to flush. Almost have to kick them and not strong flyers. Usually only go a short distance.

Chukars do not do well in wet weather conditions like NJ. They are native to dry arid climates.

The only good thing about Chukars is that they don't fly far,great for training and good eatn!

I buy a bunch and put them out after the stocking season is over 

7 bag limit and season goes until February something.
