Danbran Posted January 9, 2021 Posted January 9, 2021 Was at the Thunder Mountain trap range today and on the way back drove through Ramapo Mountain State forest. Aside from a ton of people at every access point I also passed A TON of deer on the side of the road. I’ve always heard that this was a bear paradise but very little on the deer front. Anyone have experience or insight?
trapoholic Posted January 9, 2021 Posted January 9, 2021 Like an old Maine guide once told me-"The deer are where you find them". And there is a lot of truth in that. Like most of the places that I have hunted in NJ- the deer are in different places at different times of the year.
Ron Posted January 9, 2021 Posted January 9, 2021 They come to road sides this time of year to eat the salt. I am the Lorax - I speak for the trees.
