1190ftalt
Well was checking some Cameras off the AT and ran into this Rattlesnake sunning on his rock outside his den, amazing how every Rattlesnake is different and unique in color and markings. This one was very cool ! On all my cameras I have male bears following closely behind Females, the Bear rut is on ! About 6 years ago I saw a 400 lb male fighting a 500 lb male for about 40 minutes, they would lock up, fur would fly then they would separate and lay down and rest then get up and fight again. The 400 pounder won, after they left I went to were they were fighting and there was fur and blood all over ! Neither was hurt to bad but they tore each other up pretty good . Well found this Spring in a remote are on the side of a Cliff, put one camera up top facing down the mountain and another below facing up hill, there are Deer, Porcupines, Raccons, Possums And Bears there constantly, the Spring is below the Rock and never stops Flowing , have 4 Bucks coming in but only late at night , not great pictures but Real nice racks, waiting for a clear day picture. Have this mother bear with 2 cubs, they came in and Momma Bear Drank water from the Spring then leaned against the Tree and nursed her cubs ! Lots of Hikers on the AT, road to Crater Lake closed at Blue Mountain Lake, hope they keep it that way! Good Luck !
