2018-2019 Button Buck Poll (not shed bucks)

I shot one this year on a cull hunt.  A cull hunt is the only time I would ever shoot a yearling deer of either sex.  He came in with 30 minutes of shooting light left and milled around feeding on corn and acorns.  With only 5 minutes left and no big does coming in, I shot him because that's what a cull hunt is for - to reduce the numbers, buck or doe.  But I passed more BBs than I can count when on my normal hunts this past fall.

And the hunting gods got you back as we had to fend off your deer from that big sow and her cubs and later the boar that came down the bloodtrail to inspect the kill as well.

My son shot a BB on youth day this year. He was just as excited and proud of that deer as any other and I was proud of him.
