BowhunterNJ Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 So I went and did a little fluking last week for the first time this year on a rental from Schupps Landing in Atlantic Highlands (see http://www.schuppslanding.com/), and like many up in that area, their business took on some serious damage as a result of Hurricane Sandy. I was thinking, in an effort to help give them some business and have a little fun with the guys/gals on the site, maybe we could hook up a day of fluking in the river on rental boats? I've rented from them a number of times, good crew of guys working there, and the river holds some nice fluke. Anyone interested in some River Rental Fluke Wars? Couple shots from trips in previous years... Member's signed up, Teams TBD:- BowhunterNJ- Jeff M- deerkiller18- Red- chris n- bayonne
GhostBear Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 A banana on a boat?! Ain't that ba,d luck? Hunt with a Vizsla, cause life's to short to hunt with an ugly dog! RIP Tilly monster. (Attila) 2004-2017.
BowhunterNJ Posted May 29, 2013 Author Posted May 29, 2013 Haha my friend brought that banana, and said "ahhh it own't matter"...it didn't. So I threw it on the pile of fish at the end of the day because he never even ate it!
Jeff M Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 lets do it Hey, I once got handed down underwear and a paperclip for Christmas, and it was a great gift. - Si
BowhunterNJ Posted May 29, 2013 Author Posted May 29, 2013 Let's hook up a signup process and try to narrow down on a date and number of people. Then we can reserve rentals with Schupps. I'd recommend 2 guys per boat (only 9.9HP and the tides there rip pretty good)...3 is doable, 4 gets really sluggish. Pretty sure chrisn will be down for this too, along with Lou and Scrub...hopefully a few others will chime in!
Jeff M Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 this would be a good time..lets get it started Hey, I once got handed down underwear and a paperclip for Christmas, and it was a great gift. - Si

BowhunterNJ Posted May 31, 2013 Author Posted May 31, 2013 im in just need some notice they rent big boats also but not allowed in the ocean Right, this will be limited to the bounds of the rental policies (mainly the rivers and bay up to the line between the False hook and the Navy Pier). Their website has a map with the line on it.

BowhunterNJ Posted May 31, 2013 Author Posted May 31, 2013 Got ya, I'll remove that one as others might have a conflict there too. I'd made it a multi-pick poll, so go ahead and pick all the dates that are good for you.
