New blind set up for the summer

I shot me a new bird for the season today after work. Eastern Kingbird

And as soon as I get to my blind the big turtle moved in. Once I start feeding them I think they sense ground vibration and come in looking for food. This one is huge!!

sometimes when I look at my picture on my computer, and I see the eye looking directly at me I do have a feeling they see me and just don give chit, while I go through the conniptions of being invisible:-)

Actually some birds tolerate me very well. some not so much. I can walk up to a tree sparrow and take a picture standing up in front of it from 10' away.

The picture below  is of one of the most difficult bird to get close to. If he knows you are there, he is gone:

Thanks Rusty, I have many pics of this bird. For some reason they don't like my perch this year and I am thinking about putting something else out there.

believe me he is not vegetarian. The one with a head way up was actually upset with some movement so close to him, (that was me with camera0, so he made himself look big and hissed at me like Godzilla

Finally a Kingfisher landed on my perch but it happened to be a wet, scruffy looking juvenile in very bad light.

The egret lasted only few minutes because the nearby nesting RWBB attacked him instantly.
