Spring Kings....crazy early!

My childhood buddy moved to Oswego, NY about 25 years ago and has been fishing the lake non stop since then. Typically Kings show up early June....not this year. The past week it's been on fire!!!! Usually brown trout in the shallows. Kings are in 50-100 ft of water, stacked thick! 

My buddy was 14 for 17 by 9 am this morning....all on spoons.

12-14 lb this time of year. By Mid Aug be 20-30 lb.

I have fished Sodus Bay and been to Screwy Louis' .... I like that region of NY.

Good going, I also heard they are getting them now, this post just confirmed it 👍. I'm debating on skipping first 2 days of shad tournament to head up there

     not that time,14ft Boston whaler.

         I did have a canoe 16 ft Old Town wood and canvas.

        I ever tell you the story about the muskie in lake hopatcong or the pickerel in lake denmark?

    My wife to be was in the canoe with me both times, needless to say she didn't allow me to bring them in the canoe.(Jaws) Lol
