Raritan Bay Fluke Fishing Help

Hey Guys, 

How is the flounder bite in the Raritan?

I fish the backbays of somers point Nj and the flounder fishing has slowed down and became an offshore bite. 

I can't bring my wife and kids to the reefs because of sea sickness so I want to bring them up to the Raritan. I am familiar with launching out of Keyport for striped bass but never flounder fished.  

Not looking for coordinates just some general areas to try. 

What size weight bucktails to bring? 

My boat can take us any where in the bay.

on most days the ocean is flatter than the bay,  but right as you come out of keyport is good then the reach channel last week the rock piles past the reach channel were good then the candel sticks.  stop and buy bait at a local bait store and ask.

Always had good luck at B1A

nice long drop off and they f you drift the face of it you will always get something

Ambrose Channel was good yesterday for big fluke. Got 23 and 25”, this is all we kept, but caught many 18” +
morning rain kept people off the water so there was no traffic
