I bought a Browning 3.5 12ga BPS pump gun when Coastal Zone first went to steel. After a full weekend at the pattern board with those loads and also 3.5" loads of 00 buckshot for a buckshot-only park in Pennsylvania ... I came away with a black&blue shoulder and arm, and a flinch. lol

Big geese with steel ... I would definitely be using a bigger gun than a 3" 20. Having said that ... even a 28 kills ducks in the woods ...

I've killed about 500 puddle ducks the last couple seasons since switching to a 20 gauge.  Lighter, more nimble and just a general joy to shoot.  Shooting #4 bismuth loads with an IC choke.  All decoy

Try 2.5 oz  Turkey Loads. :talktothehand:
