Nasty looking deer

This 4-pointer frequents my spot.  Can't shoot him because of QDM, but he's got something funky going on with his back.  Not sure what it is, but is it mange?

Does he still have it because those pics are over a month old. Could have been his coat changing.

I dont see what your talking about.  Looks like a deer that bedded in some briars to me.

The cam that took these photos died on 10/30, and the other cam is too far away to get any better detail.  Here are some other photos from the now-deceased cam.

 

I've just never seen a deer with bumps all over it, and if it is sleeping in a briar patch, he's not too bright.

Briars or ticks would be my guess, otherwise he looks nice and healthy.
