fall trout 10/18/2015

This morning i hit the south branch for some fall trout. i believe they stocked on friday 10/16. i was fishing with spinning gear, caught 2 rainbows. one female was caught on a black grasshopper fly that was a quick release at my feet. I was just casting the hopper out with split shot and let it drift close to the bottom giving a few twitched along the way. then i worked downstream and caught a nice male on orange power bait. i never saw the trout, but i was casting next to a big boulder and could see my powerbait sitting on the bottom. then i saw it disappear so i set the hook and caught this one. good sunday

had a bunch of follow ups on pin minnows but they wouldnt commit.

Nice, fun time to fish for them...only have to play dodgeball with the leaves floating on the water!

the leaves are very annoying. my fall trout fishing trips are always cut short because i get fed up lol

i dont see why not. i always do well with grasshoppers or imitations of grasshoppers in the fall.
