Dye clothes

Nothing like feeding a fire in  90 degree sunshine.

Picked up Rit dye more (synthedic) and fixative last year amd finally got around to doing my faded ghillie suits. 4 bottles of chocolate dye in 10gls simmering water, took 15 minutes with polyester. Dyed 4 pcs at a time. 3 bottles of fixative in 10gls fresh simmering water for 20 minutes. Put them all in the fixative bath at once. Rinsed with warm them cooler rinses until cold. Going to let them hang in the rain tomorrow then spray with permethrin in the fall and wash in baking soda after they dry .  Wanted the brown leaf look since I sit on the ground.  Tips of leaves had turned white and you can see how light colored the one piece is in the pic. Deer were picking me out in the shadows.

 My  orders got delivered yesterday so I'm  ready now for September

Nice, but it seems like more work for you not to be seen by people than the animals you were trying to hunt

Deer may see me but they don't know what I am.  I try hard to blend in with my background and not be silhouetted.   Had them 5yds in front of me looking right through me as if trying to find me off in the distance when they picked up my scent, then walk off.

Maybe it was the grey beard are you going to dye it? Lol
