Finding American Toads

I've been looking all over to photograph an American Toad. But I can't find one. Does anyone know where are some good places to look?

How humid? Right after it rains? Where can I find them if it's not humid?

Yep, and I live up north, I just can't seem to find them...

It would probably help if you did some specific research on the animal in order to find it.  There is a good amount of information on this species all over the Internet.  Once you know the animal, you'll be able to find it more easily.  Posting on forums will only get you so far.

I had one in my yard that I would always see or find when I wanted. But since you posted this the toad has gone missing.
