Millstone river

As I am kind of new to Central Jersey I’m still learning some of the areas and I appreciate everybody’s help so far with good fishing spots. I just read that at the Mill Stone River get stocked with Pike. Is that true? And if so any good spots or good launch points for a kayak?

You have the passaic Fairfield MSgdan  I thought you didn't want to go after Pike.

The State recently stopped stocking pike in the Millstone due to poor catch rate after many years of stocking. I fished the Millstone in the Griggstown area a few times without any luck. Better off fishing the D&R Canal in that area.

That wasn’t the only reason. The Millstone now sees a spring run of American Shad now that obsolete dams are removed and the pike will only hurt Shad numbers.
