They lasted when they made here .
since nothing is made here anymore the standards are incredibly lower .
then add in planned obsolescence, 5 years is a good run 

Wirlpool are made in usa that's what I have for stove fridge and dishwasher

when it rains, it pours.....wife put a load in the wash, I went downstairs 20 mins later and I hear what sounds like water, damn machine leaking like a waterfall.....I knew we would need a new machine but didn't think it would happen now.....Off to the store tomorrow, will also get a gas drier as well. Looking at the 10 million different machines they have, and the issues these new high tech machines seem to have, I decided to go quality of course but as simple as they come....Picked out a few Whirlpool machines which got very good reviews
