Got Apples?

After speaking with my friend BucksandBows. We are starting our bear barrel today. Are wondering any places to get apples? or is it still too early for apples?

Mike - I may grab a small bag from the grocery store just to get the barrel going since we have ample corn and molasses.  Call me later and let me know when you are leaving work and if you want to just meet there in the "quarry".  Kevin and his daughter and a friend are bass fishing there today, but will likely be gone by the time we arrive to bait.

There was a guy on here who sells them too in bulk, I think he's in the Colts Neck area of Monmouth county, might be too far from you northern guys though.

We were actually talking about that guy the other day and were wondering when he would post about his apples. Because to go down to fill a pickup truck load would be worth the drive

Last year he has prices as: pick your own off the tree only 5 bucks a 5 gal bucket or truck loads 100.00 6 ft bed or 125.00 for a 8 ft bed

Probably just a tad bit early.......bears will get a belly ache if they eat green apples.....

Mike, we're surrounded by apple orchards here in northern NJ, perhaps we can find one much closer.  I have 3 orchards within 5 miles of my house that I know of.  At least we got some in the barrel today along with all the corn and molasses.  Bet we have some bears on camera already!

A guy named Jamie at Riamede orchard in Chester used to sell 80# bags of apples. I would look into that.
