Palawman30
Haven't been on to much lately here or the other place. On top of the online business I'm currently in the process of taking over a brick and mortar hunting and fishing store. Won't be finalized til end of 2017 but good things will come from it. I will be retiring from the police department then and starting my second life as a full fledged businessmen. It's a well known, been in business forever place. I can't wait for the new challenge ahead... Brief synopsis of 2 weeks in Clearfield Pa.... I saw an absolute crapload of deer. Literally hundreds and the prospects for another good buck season lay ahead. I saw 7 different bear in a half mile stretch of land. I saw well over 100 elk also all around the camp. I'm negotiating now on a big lease 3000+ acres that hasn't been legally hunted in over 10 years. That place is a goldmine right now with some beautiful 130-140 class bucks on it and alot of bear. Looks like it will be the 12 members of my camp and maybe room for 10 more guys as I'll have another 2 rustic cabins on site to use as well. The insurance is in place, just figuring out price and longevity now. The state land around it is every bit as good to me though if a good price cant be worked out..lol Almost forgot... Saw 5 coyotes...called in 4, missed running shot on 1. No shots on others. All at night and all the coyotes responded to kitten in distress calls... Here's some pics... Palawman30
Still negotiating a lease price for the acreage. Right now I have 12 guys that are definites for the lease with another 3-4 guys/gals that are a maybe. I would cap it at 15 hunters on close to 3000 acres.... There is an additional 240,000 acres of state land very close. My camp is full to capacity but I will have 2 cabins to utilize as well. Neither has electric but they both have woodstoves. ATVS would be allowed as well as full access to the entire property. No off limit areas or permanent stand locations. Deer population seems to be back to early 2000s levels now. It would be full season opportunity also beginning with archery in Oct and ending with flintlock in january. Pa is a 1 buck per year state. Doe tags are available in lottery format. There are elk on the property also and alot of bear and turkey. Palawman30
Been wondering what happened to you . . . Seems you've been busy Robyn it has been quite a busy year.. Alot going in and it's all good. My brother and I will start transitioning the business in the beginning of 2017. I will not only have the brick and mortar but a full scale online retail operation as well. Once the transitions complete I will absolutely be sponsering some of this sites contests as well as running a full scale predator contest in New Jersey in Febuary out of a centrally located gun club. Good things on the horizon! Ms Grit and Haskell_Hunter 2 PredaTorch.com Hot Estrous Doe and Other Deer Scent, Night Predator Lights
