Had a good time.  My boys learned another lesson on why it’s called hunting and not killing.  We were doing great with a Tom that was interested.  Then some landscapers started making a racket on the far side of the tom.  He ran then flew into the woods behind us, gobbled a few times again after going quiet.   His gobbles were going away onto different property.  We moved around after that but didn’t hear anything else gobbling.  Put in till 12.  
 

kids are off Monday and Tuesday for Passover so I took off work and we will be out for A week those two days.

took a kiddo out, birds were vocal and put on a show despite the monsoon we got caught in. was hoping to wait out a tom but they had other plans meandering around in field despite having a hen hang out 15 yards away with decoys. had couple jakes in range that snuck in off our shoulders at 20 yards but not a good shot opportunity when they got to field edge. eventually another Jake got too curious and got to take a ride home with he and dad.
