Ovechkin picked up goals 798, 799, and 800 a few days back. One of three in NHL history to score 800 goals and is now one goal away from tying Gordie Howe for second for all time goals in a career.

I don’t think Gretzkys goals is 894. I think it’s something 846. Some of them goals are WHL goals

He has 894 NHL goals.WHA goals are not counted towards the record.

894 is the official NHL goal record not including the WHA (World Hockey Association). Wayne's NHL playing career was from 1979-1999.
