Hunting State Parks question

No matter where you are hunting in NJ you can't discharge a gun or bow from a road or across a publicly traveled road.

Regs also say you're not to shoot up or down the road either

Check with specific state parks.  Some rail trails are not allowed.  Don't see why you can't walk it with your weapon, but can't hunt from some.   Most state parks have a hunting map and local rules.

It's not the trails, it would be an area closed to hunting

Check the hunting maps for that particular state park. There are areas on the map that have red diagonal lines as no hunt areas. Any other hunting area should be shaded green.

Began hunting state parks 50 years ago, swartswood to be exact,life was good then, only folks in campground were hunters wouldn't go there now if they paid me!!!

I took my first doe out of swartswood last year well out of the way of anyone else. I've got good signs this year, and i've got good signs of bears too.

Parvin State Park has an Archery only area.

 

No firearm hunting is allowed there anywhere.
