Finally sitting in a tree this afternoon! Pretty warm out, but hopefully they're moving!

I have two hen turkeys under me now scratching around

First day I haven't been in a tree in a week... sat all day 5 days and only saw a spike at midday... and today I'm doing yardwork and a nice 8 pointer runs through my yard at 1:00!  Go figure!

I had to work all weekend.  

 

But I'm going to NH on Thursday.  Headed up to cold camp!  Hopefully I'll fill the freeze from the freezer.

Saw a 2.5 yr old 8 with short tines that got a pass, saw a 3 point with an old injured broken leg, and a spike.

Had a doe come in that the broken leg buck was shadowing around.  He was getting around well, there are several bucks at this spot with old broken legs...seems like the traffic is doing a job on them.

I'll likely shoot whichever show up during 6-day.

That doe is definitely on my kill list, didn't want to do it today, but she picked me out in the tree from 25 yards away.  My platform is 27 feet up, and I'm in between two nice sized hardwoods with another one in front of me and another behind me...she's too smart, has to go!  Good freezer filler!
