are the ballistics pretty much the same btwn the 3"accutips and the 3" Barnes expanders from your expierence, out to say 125?

When I bought my 220 years ago, Savage recommended Accutip or Barnes Expander.   I’ve shot both with similar results.  That said, ammo is tough to find and when you do find, prices are obscene.

I don’t know the comparative ballistics of the 3” enough to comment on. As soon as we realized the 2 3/4” were almost as accurate (not enough of a difference to justify the added recoil or expense) we discontinued 3” testing.
