I soaked them in a dilute solution of Fertrell which is a seaweed and fish foliar fertilizer- looked like a compost tea.  I also weeded the bed and raked in some 5-3-3 fertilizer before planting.

One further note, I am very impressed with the vitality of the Keen’s product- every clove planted sprouted with vigor.

Do you have room for maybe 20 more cloves of 3 different varieties to compare? I got a few from Keen as well as a bag from KB. If so, I'll run by this weekend.  Jack
