Cow crossings

Had a conversation the other day with a good friend of mine.

We were discussing how long it's been since we had to stop and let a herd of cows cross the road.

My buddy's son looked at us like we had three eyeballs.

When I was young it was a common occurrence. Dairy farmers would cross their cows from milk barn to pasture, sometimes twice a day.

Does anyone still know a farmer that does this ?

there are cattle crossing signs around me, neshanic area. however i have not seen cattle crossing the road.

At one of my old hunting spots in Salem county I have done it a few times I’m sure they’re still crossing there

I live on the border of Gloucester/Salem County. Still see it from time to time
