Looking for a spinning for Tog

Recommended Posts

I am looking for a tog spinning set up and was wondering what opinions people have on the Shimano Teramore Inshore NE TMSE70MH  coupled with a Shimano Stradic CI4 4000.   It was suggested by a buddy that loves them. I am open to any other suggestions also.  It will mainly be used for jigs for black fish and possibly for tossing buck tails when there is no drift for fluke.

I will be going out this month and am hoping to borrow it to see. I know there is a lot of experience on here, so was hoping to hear some pros and cons.  I am hoping Hammer weighs in, hes given me good advice in the past.

Personally I like longer rods for togging, minimum 7'6" and 8' as my go to.

I am not a fan of Shimano rods, but shimano reels are great.

My set up is a Daiwa Proteus 7'6" rod mh with a sustain 5000.

I have a heavier Daiwa Proteus rod with a sustain 5000 as well.

Thanks Dan I will check it out

NP .

Im fishing that rod with an ABU  orah inshore 40.

it floats in your hand .

I also like black fish jigging with a low profile conventional also

I use a battalion 1220 rod with a REVO BEAST  low profile 40..

another very light set up that’s easy to fight big tog with
