FID for (shotgun) ammo-yes or no?

I may be wrong and so be it. Guy came here for advice/opinion. I gave one. Doesn't matter if it's Monday or Saturday, the law or lack thereof doesn't care what day it is. By coming on this public forum he's asking for advice because he's ALREADY confused. 

I think T/C makes(or did) a contender in a 20 and or 12ga.
