ON THE WORK BENCH

Recommended Posts

Looks really great so far!

Only thing I might suggest is that since you're a taxidermy business, you might want to only post pictures of finished work. Too many people have no clue, or don't read. They will assume that is your finished mount. And while it's still better than a lot of mounts that people pay for, you don't want knuckleheads thinking that the eyes and nose pad are finished, etc.

I mean to me, I enjoy works in progress and this dried beautifully. Hell I like to see every stage of the process and how other people do it. However in the past when I posted unfinished work on other forums, people had no clue...They would say, oh it looks like crap, why are the ears hanging down, blah blah blah....Um, I haven't even made the ear butts out of clay yet you doof....I wasn't going to leave them hanging on the side of it's head like Goofy. LOL I'm not saying I'm a great taxidermist by any means and I don't do it for others, but I'm just warning you of the potential for that.

Again though, looks great! Post more pics once you've done the finish work.

“I have always tempered my killing with respect for the game pursued. I see the animal not only as a target, but as a living creature with more freedom than I will ever have. I take that life if I can, with regret as well as joy, and with the sure knowledge that nature’s way of fang and claw and starvation are a far crueler fate than I bestow.” – Fred Bear
