No doubt about it!  As others have mentioned, there's a reason someone hunted there and spent the time building a stand!  Always worth a deeper look in areas where old stands are.  Patterns may have changed, but sometimes those historic patterns of deer remain and you might find yourself in a great area

However, not all are good ending points. You always have to try and understand why they are there. i remember hunting with guys that would just throw them up haphazard just to get off the ground for gun season. The only day a lot of people used them was the first day.
