Looks kinda like a young redtail to me, I could be wrong though.

Sharp-shinned or coopers have that tail.  Could also be present in juveniles of other species (that might be an alcohol-induced stretch).

 

Belly is also coopers.

Does look like a first-year broad-wing.  Blow up your pic or look at it tomorrow and check the iris color.  Broad-wings are brown.  Red-tails and all immi accipitors are yellow.  But the grayish banded tail is characteristic of broadwings and the hawk in your pic does look like a buteo.  Tail not long enough for a immi goshawk, I don't think.

Ahhhh, the beauty of an iPad!!!! Just zoomed in and it looks like the irises are yellow.
