anyone else getting ready?

im getting ready for trout season and also setting up and buying line,lures etc for bass cant wait tight lines.

I have been trying to get my bench cleared off so I can start tying a few flies...

I started more than a month ago. I started tying a bunch of bass flies. also did some inspection and clean up of my tackle bag. can't wait. I plan on getting out for pike as soon as this ice is gone.

I have been fishing all winter long and the fishing has been very good but the new trout in the spring make for added fun

I haven't stopped fishing for trout! Still plenty of great winter trout fishing to be had, I hit the fly stretch at flatbrook a few days ago and got five rainbows with on over 20".

I used to be a die hard freshwater guy, but that all ended after I caught my first striper. I did buy an all around this year though. Time to teach the kiddies.

I'm headed out tomorrow myself. Not sure yet if on the SBR or the Musky. I'm hoping to see some olives and some little black stoneflies (LBS) as well as midges out and about although it may not be a warm enough day for the LBS.

I think that if we could just string together a few warm days, the action on the LBS would be decent on all our streams.
