Here's Opening Day's forecast for up in Sussex.

That is why I don't hunt the early season. Pool will stay open until first week of October this way I can jump in after a half day morning hunt

That low temp looks good for the mornin' sit. Ive got to find some positive in this lol

 

Catch em early am on their way back to the beds and set up on a water source for the afternoon. If they get up early enough they will be stopping for water first!

 

Don't get me wrong, this can be a very productive time for killing a mature buck.  It's just more comfortable hunting when it's colder.

I just looked in my freezer, and I still have plenty of meat, guess that's what happens when you shoot two deer two weeks apart in mid January!
