Snow Geese at Merrill Creek

Footage from 2011 of what has become a local tourist attraction. The Snow Geese were absent last year because of a completely frozen reservoir. With the El Nino winter the birds should winter over in great numbers again this year. Quite a show.

Every year now for a bunch of years, my daughter and I head out on MLK Day since we were both off work/school to find them.  We always go to Merrill Creek Reservoir first and then to adjoining areas if we don't find the huge flocks right away as happened last winter.  If you have never witnessed it, it is an amazing site (not to mention sound)!
