Don't the flat spots on the tires even out after a few miles?

Not that I've noticed. Putting a new set of tires on always seemed to fix the problem

I will not drive a car if the tires are more than 10 years old.

ABS ring is shot so if you hit the brakes too hard you'll hear a little screech. Tires are only about a year and a half old.
