Stocking sites / Standing corn

Anyone have any info on the standing corn at stocking sites along old mine road?  I was surprised today to see most of the fields I hunt covered in corn.  Hoping it gets harvested sooner than later.  Any info is better than what I’m working with, thanks!  Marty

I was surprised to see a field at black river had standing corn as well. I thought you couldn't hunt standing corn.

I’m pretty sure you cannot hunt any standing crops.  Disappointing for sure.

The state pays farmers to leave certain crops “in kind service” for the wildlife. And there’s nothing saying that you can’t hunt standing crops. In fact, they specifically stock standing sorghum.

Black River doesnt have any farmers to do in kind planting so every crop you see there, you can hunt it including any standing corn and sorghum . Everything planted there is for wildlife food and habitat.

Haven’t been to black river in a couple of years. Usually I just walk around during 6 day and enjoy the day. Which area did they put standing corn in?
