Did a bunny hunt this morning with the boys and hounds. Only started 6, killed 2. Property is long way down hill fast. Used to kill 10-15 every time out and start another 20 and never even put a dent in them. Until last season, a guy started trapping the rabbits from the farm we hunt and bringing to his property !!! He's got over 30 traps out. Nothing we could do since land owner wants all rabbits gone because they are destroying his trees. Looks like another great rabbit hunting property lost

Sorry to hear. We use to have tons of rabbits but now there are so many fox . The fox also drove the turkeys out . We harvested a couple of the reds but not enough to improve the diversity.

Never realized rabbits can destroy trees. I remember seeing sumac saplings out in the meadows all chewed up at the bottom from rabbits, but never noticed any other species damaged. What do they do exactly and what species of trees?
